James, Sandeep and William will discuss the principles of sustainability, conduct a design thinking workshop in sustainability (ideation and prototyping) and talk about the careers available in sustainability.

James is a versatile professional currently serving as the Business Manager for Powerfuels including Hydrogen Network at the NSW Decarbonisation Innovation Hub. With a PhD from UNSW, James has worked in both academic and industry settings. He has extensive experience in research commercialisation, intellectual property management, and product development. In this role, he manages industry and government partnerships, identifies commercial opportunities, and drives technology commercialisation projects aimed at advancing decarbonization through innovative hydrogen and power fuel technologies.
William has a background in materials science and engineering and has been working at the SMaRT Centre for a year now. Currently part of the National Environmental Science Program’s (NESP) Sustainable Communities and Waste (SCaW) Hub researching fit-for-purpose technological recycling solutions for regional and remote communities.
