The Exchange Orana will host the much sought-after Australian Institute of Company Directors - Company Directors Course in mid-May 2025, providing world-class governance education in the Orana region.

Regional Development Australia Orana, CEO Justine Campbell said the five-day intensive course would cover five themes, including: 

1. Governance and the practice of directorship
2. The legal environment
3. Risk and strategy
4. Financial literacy and performance
5. Achieving board effectiveness

“By undertaking the Company Directors Course in-house at The Exchange Orana, board members, directors and senior executives will be provided with innovative opportunities to build their governance knowledge together,” she said.

“The course will provide critical governance knowledge that underpins improved board productivity and performance, and improved governance understanding leads to better outcomes, no matter the size or stage of your organisation.”

The Course is designed to improve board and director performance in three important ways.

• Fostering your governing team’s cohesive growth
• Boosting your board’s sector-specific expertise

Ms Campbell said the interactive learning structure was designed to promote the understanding of contemporary governance topics that were relevant and would equip business leaders with the skills to be more confident and effective.
